Sean Simmons led Melbourne based band “The Spoils” through the murky Y2K world of the early 2000s into somewhere around 2015 before they finally disbanded. In that time they released 3 studio albums + a “Best Of” for European audiences and toured with the likes of Bonnie Prince Billy, Calexico, Catpower, Kid Congo Powers and even The Flying Burrito Brothers as well as local heroes The Drones, Augie March, Mick Harvey, Spencer P.Jones and others. They signed with French label, “Beast Records” and strangely enough played Paris & Berlin more than they ever did Sydney. On the occasions that they did make it, they performed with legends like Love Me, Loene Carmen and The Blackeyed Susans at famed venues such as The Hopetoun, Excelsior and Sando. Sean has since returned sporadically and often played at his favourite Sydney dive bar Midnight Special.

Fast forward to 2025 and Sean Simmons makes his way back to Sin City with a loop pedal, a guitar made out of tin and a batch of new songs filled with love, loss and redemption. He will be joined on the night by the wonderful Simone East.
